john riddy is a british photographer who began to get recognition when he presented his work in a solo exhibition at Camden Arts centre in 2000. from an early age Riddy was taking a printing photos which lead him to earning a BA and MA in fine arts. throughout his year in university Riddy found he was very interested in urban landscapes and scenes because he saw that people often overlook the composition of life and walk blindly passed day to day sceneries. Noticing this made him want to capture forgotten scenes. The work that was presenting in the exhibition were mainly architectural pieces as he had found a relationship between history of art and architecture. i feel that his black and white images are his strongest because of the contrast and exposure that is present in them especially this piece because i like the way that the ally cause you eyes to scan through the centre before anything else creating a natural funnel/focal point. i feel that the sharpness of the image is also key to how it's presented and how the eye moves through the image. the key to having a great landscape image is to have everything as sharp as possible and the only way to achieve that is to have the whole image in focus which Riddy has done here creating such an immersive piece. i feel that to achieve something in the style of riddy i will have to capture something that is sharp and
