Robert Frank
“The eye should learn to listen before it looks.”
The moods and feelings that his photos produce are deep within the subject of his photos. Also most of his photos that show racial segregation and have a tense feeling about them because of the racism that was present during the 50s.

I think that the way I which Robert Frank documented his time in America with the photos that he took is different to every other American photography because he wasn’t sightseeing or acting as if he was on a holiday he was there to photograph America as it was and that’s what he did with amazing photos that really capture and depict America to most European people in the 50s.

I also think that Robert Frank’s book I almost like a time capsule because of how I was all documented for the world to appreciate today. Robert Frank’s “the Americans” was definitely documentary photography because of the style in which all the photos were taking, more educational for people who weren’t able to go and see America for themselves in the 50s.
